A. Terms and Conditions
All goods supplied remain the property of Thornton Breakers (T.B) Until payment is received in full.
The customer is responsible for any charges incurred in reclaiming monies owed T.B and we reserve the right to recover and remove goods for which full payment has not been received.
All goods are supplied with a 60 day warranty unless otherwise specified. see B.
All goods must be inspected upon delivery, goods signed for in good condition, will not be refunded if later to be found damaged.
All goods should be inspected upon delivery before signing to ensure that the item has not been damaged during transit. If goods prove to be damaged, do not sign, refuse delivery & contact us within 1 working day. This is to ensure that if necessary, a claim can be made against the courier company.
In the event that the delivery driver does not allow time to inspect the goods sign the Delivery Note to obtain them, but delete any wording in the signature box to the effect that the goods were ‘Received in good condition’.
B. Warranty Claims
Warranty is 3 months on all parts and warranty for non mechanical and electrical parts is 12 months.
All claims must be accompanied by a valid receipt.
All claims must be within the warranty period specified on the receipt.
Goods must have T.B identification.
Goods that have been tampered or interfered with will not be accepted for warranty claims.
Goods that have been incorrectly ordered by the customer will not be covered by warranty or refund. See C1.
Warranty claim payments for goods supplied will only be for the cost of the parts purchased from T.B. see B9.
Normal warranty period for used goods is 60 days or 2000 miles for taxi/fleet hire vehicles.
Warranty claims do not cover postage, carriage and any other costs, other than stated.
Warranty claims for labour can only be made when fitted by T.B.
All warranty claims are non-transferable.
If any part supplied by ourselves proves to be faulty during this period, it may be returned to us for an exchange. If no exchange is available within 48 hours a refund will be given.
Any part(s) correctly supplied by us and returned to us within 7 days is subject to a 20% handling charge at the managers discretion.
Our Guarantee covers parts only.
It does not cover any labour charges or from any fault arising from the fitting of this part.
All engines purchased must be fitted with a new timing belt, oil filter and genuine right grade oil.
Gearboxes, transfer-boxes and Differentials must have genuine right grade oil.
C. Returned Parts
Please note any wrongly ordered parts will be refunded minus delivery cost and will incur a 20% restocking fee.All goods that are returned must be returned at the customers expense.
All electrical items are non-refundable.
Refunds will only be made upon the return of the goods to our premises.
Please ensure all goods are checked thoroughly before being signed for. Refunds are not always possible for goods that have been damaged whilst in transit. The words unexamined or unchecked on the delivery note/docket are not acceptable. We will not be held responsible for the refund of goods damaged in transit if they have been signed for as in good condition.
We will refund the price of the part in full but will not pay for any fitting charges. It is your responsibility to check that any part(s) supplied is correct prior to fitting.
