Thornton Breakers is a Family Run business which was established by Peter Jones in 1985 where he dismantled cars, then in 1993 he began to specialise in light commercial vehicles. Now at Thornton Breakers we've Been Breaking 4x4s and specialising just in them since 1998 and have always been at the same site in Thornton still run by Peter Jones, who has over 24years of experience and will be celebrating 25years this year. Due to the growth of the business we have now purchased another site in Halifax, which will be up and running by the end of April 2010. We are shortly going to be opening a 4x4 Shop in Halifax where all our used 4x4 accessories like Alloy wheels, Leather Seats, A Bars. Side Steps. Lights, Mirrors also Reconditioned and new parts are going to be there for you to just walk in and view which will come with a 30 or 60 day warrenty whereas our reconditioned parts carry a 6 or 12 month warrenty. This shop will also include our Sister Company CAM SUZUKI, which includes lots of Jimny spares..

We have a racking system for all our Breakers in out 3 Bay work Shop. we have a new 3 tonne 2 post ramp, a new 4 tonne 4 post ramp, were all our dismantling and fitting service is carried out.

Cam Suzuki sells parts and repairs Jimny’s for road use and has also done up a few previous Suzuki Jimny’s for Off-Roading weekends for himself and a few other people. We have found out that the Suzuki Jimny proves itself well while out on the tracks aswel as the road.Here below are a few photos of us in them out on Off-Roading events and it shows what kind of fun you can have with them;

We have also sponsered Cam in the Northern Off Road 4x4 Competitions. At the moment he is just preparing his vehicle of what he will be racing, but hopefully soon he will have it out there racing. He will be racing in a Mitsubishi Shogun Evolution Sport Fully kitted out in Silver ....So GOOD LUCK

Also we will be joing the Horse Circuit in competing soon. In which we will be supporting Courtney who is at the age of 10 and will be riding Mable who is a Black Friesian.
